Where We’ve Been
We are a proud city with a proud history.
We have always been a community that was loyal to family, friends, and neighbors. Residents consistently modeled the importance of hard work, education, and integrity — no goal was out of reach and no victory was too unlikely to pursue. Considered the city that no one thought would or could survive, under great leadership we are still standing, thriving and growing 18 years later. Our people who are generations of industrious, hardworking people… built one of the greatest cities to ever grace earth.
Where We Are
We are the city of opportunity. We are the city of hope. It is my heart’s desire that every child in this city has the opportunity to grow up knowing they can pursue anything… that’s my West Park dream.
I’m looking ahead to a city of consistent safe streets for every family, where people want to grow old and not flee. A city of sanctuary filled with opportunities for all to grow and be successful. A city of fairness and hope and prosperity for all. A city that holds equity and inclusion as our guiding principles. A city where everyone loves to call “home.”
Focused Forward
As I reflect on what lies ahead, we must not forget or ignore the plight of so many for whom joy often does not come in the morning. Whether it is a senior citizen, a youth, a young adult or a business owner, I will not pass them by.
I have dedicated my entire life in service. It is not just my priority—but my obligation—to ensure that we do everything in our power to position our city for success and eliminate any and all barriers that stand in our way. As ONE WEST PARK we are FOCUSED FORWARD!
